In this scholarly article, reprinted with generous permission from the Museum of European Art (USA) Prometheus issue 151, the visionary painter Oleg Korolev describes the spiritually corrosive forces of modernism and its extreme arrogance in denouncing and abandoning the spiritual and sacred art lineages, that have functioned as repositories of sacred symbols and meanings pertaining to the most intimate levels of the spiritual life of man.
