In general the Slavonic native religions have a lot in common with the rest of the Indo-European spiritual traditions and have a direct connection to Vedanta. A Russian word Veda (t’) means “to know” or just a “knowledge”, “awareness”, came from Sanskrit.

Lila has charted the contemporary visionary and sacred art movement by talking directly to those involved. Explore the themes, motifs, inspirations and approaches to creativity found in visionary art.

The artist’s life may seem to be unfolding like an archetypal legend where dreams and events are interwoven in a perfect dance. Women’s Visionary Congress

The fourth annual Women’s Visionary Congress (WVC) will take place from October 22 – 24, 2010 at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) Earthrise Retreat Center, near Petaluma, California. The 2010 WVC will feature thirty visionary women healers, scholars, activists and artists who study consciousness and altered states.

Presenters at the 2010 Women’s Congress include visionary artist Martina Hoffmann, Marsha Rosenbaum of the Drug Policy Alliance, ritualist Nicki Scully, researcher Alicia Danforth and psychedelic voyager Carolyn (Mountain Girl) Garcia. There will be special appearances by Kat Harrison and Ann and Sasha Shulgin. Please check our website for the latest list of speakers.

WVC supports the transfer of knowledge among women who apply the insights of their research and spiritual path. We gather on beautiful land in Northern California to renew our community of adventurers and visionaries. The 2010 WVC special Saturday discussion is Sex and Psychedelics: Limbic Resonance and Deep Thrills.

The WVC is a benefit for the V Fund that makes grants to support the work of visionary women. Tickets are $325 which includes a $75 annual membership to the Women’s Visionary Council, the nonprofit organization that organizes the WVC. Ticket price covers all presentations, meals and comfortable lodging for three days and two nights. Day tickets to the event are $100 and can be purchased on site.

The WVC welcomes interested women and men to join us as we create a temporary community, talk, dance, eat delicious food and participate in a series of conversations with wise women. We look forward to seeing you there.

For ticket information please contact Natalie Engber at info@visionarycongress.org or call +1 707 489 8877. Tickets may also be purchased via PayPal through a link on the WVC registration page. If you cannot join us at the WVC this year, please consider becoming a visionary patron and purchasing a ticket for a woman who could not otherwise attend.
