In general the Slavonic native religions have a lot in common with the rest of the Indo-European spiritual traditions and have a direct connection to Vedanta. A Russian word Veda (t’) means “to know” or just a “knowledge”, “awareness”, came from Sanskrit.

Visionary Arts: What Vision? by Gaia Orion

The artist’s life may seem to be unfolding like an archetypal legend where dreams and events are interwoven in a perfect dance. The core of these visions is an ordered and centered life with intentions of understanding and integrity. The visionary art that comes from this base is what we also call “contemporary sacred art”.

Wolfgang Grasse, the great visionary artist, passed away last week. A man who’s work is a true window into his soul, masterfully painting both the rigors and grace of existence.

    Dear Friends & Family,

I was saddened to learn of Wolfgang’s passing & just found out . I knew Wolfgang in the Seventies .I worked with him on a film he made -”The Dream of Loh” . I never knew what happened to that film but I played the part of “Loh”.
Wolfgang was a unique person and a true artist . After his experiences in prison, he had no time for the facades and falseness of society . He was also a truly compassionate person and so fun to hang out with .
    My sincere condolences.

I was sad to hear about Wolfgangs passing, I lived in Burnie for a year and as an artist in the local art group was introduced to his work through his publication. I was very keen to meet him and see his work and soon after my son James and I visited him and his wife and his little jack russel dog. He was very welcoming and gave James ‘the boy’ some signed prints of his drawings and a book signed by him. He showed me some of his acrylic techniques and discussed his long career. While there I asked if I could negotiate purchasing one of his paintings but found them too pricy for my budget then, however he said he would hang onto the painting until I could afford it. This was unfortunately jsut before my ex husband took the family off the middle east, I would love to know where most of his paintings are and are they still fo r sale? is there a catalogue? regards Terry

Hello, Just came across your post, I am the niece of Wolfgang, my mother is his sister. I have just returned from Munich Germany where I, along with my sister, went to help clear out the apartment/studio of my grandparents, Wolfgangs mother. There are 4 paintings from Wolfgang that the family would like to sell. If you are interested, contact me and I can give you further contacts to the family member who now has them. regards Marie
