It performs this through a traditionalism, an honoring of its antecedents, its elders, its generational progression, the creative gnostic flame passed from master to apprentice : sometimes directly, sometimes through distant strands of inter-connectivity.

The Norwegian artist, Odd Nerdrum, was sentenced to two years in prison without bail on Wednesday August 17th, when a local court in Oslo found him guilty of tax evasion. He will not be allowed to paint in prison.
