In Heskin's paintings, forms in nature become a language of consciousness.

David Heskin is an oil painter who looks to the beauty of the natural world for inspiration, in its infinitely subtle and intricate patterns. Forms in nature become a language in the geometry of consciousness at every scale. It is from this diversity of phenomenal lifeforms that Art emerges.

To employ traditional terms, David is self taught, though his ongoing education consists of a lifelong dedication to the intricate study of nature’s delicately balanced systems.

[Show picture list]

An emerging master painter, his artistic focus is to elegantly fuse the richness of traditional symbolic themes with the innovative spirit of a modern renaissance man.

David’s life is in service to drawing forth new visions which invite a wide audience to bask in the inspirational light of creativity.

David’s paintings are inventive in their forms as he has taken his art far beyond the limitations of the status quo, into an altogether unprecedented realm. By devising special techniques which allow his canvases to be constructed in nearly any shape, the form of the canvas itself becomes suited to adequately fulfill the depth of his visions.

In joyous exploration of creative freedom, elegant forms, curves and impossible angles emerge in his 2- and 3-dimensional paintings. This versatility spans genre and medium alike, allowing the artist full access to the brilliant splendor of unlimited creation. Synthesizing with visionary artistry, imaginal and photorealistic subject matter is a triumphant aspiration to create artifacts and visual experiences which are otherwise unavailable to the human eye.

Recognizing the necessity and readiness in modern times for a conscious rebirthing of culture, in 2009 David founded Art Spirit Now, an arts organization with the exhilarating declaration, “The Renaissance is Now”.

Much of her work shows the inter-relationship of humanity with the plant, animal and spirit realms, blending the microscopic and macrocosmic worlds into a unique colourful presence, where ancient primal magic blends with vibrant new frequencies.

Working in a very intuitive way, the images are channelled directly onto the canvas, bringing forms into manifestation that shapeshift across the canvas and connect us to the sacred ways of nature, spirit, truth and beauty.

Yvonne’s inspiration comes through dreams and visions, shamanic journeying, music and sound, from inner worlds and rich life experiences.

The creative force finds expression through painting, the creation of ceremonial tools, clothing and adornments. Always finding new ways of sharing visions and inspiring others on the path of healing, transformation, beauty, wholeness and celebration.

Martina Hoffmann works as a painter and sculptress. Her painting style can be described as Transpersonal Realism and her imagery offer the viewer a detailed glimpse into her inner landscapes – imagery that has been inspired by expanded states of consciousness: the realms of the imagination, meditation, shamanic journeys and the dream state.

Today she is considered one of the foremost contemporary female visionary artists.

In addition to exhibiting her art internationally, Martina has spoken on behalf of visionary art and culture at events such as The International Conference on Expanded States of Conscioussness in Cuernavaca, Mexico, Convergence and The Amazonian Shamanism Conference in Iquitos Peru, the AllChemical Conference in Kona, Hawaii, MindStates Conference in Berkeley, The Prophets Conference in Santa Fe, as well as Burning Man and the Boom Festival in Portugal.

She also teaches painting workshops worldwide together with her partner Robert Venosa.

Her work has been exhibited and collected internationally as well as having been published in books such as ‘The Visionary World of Hansruedi Giger’ by Stanislav Grof, , ‘Be The Change’ by Ed and Deb Shapiro (Sterlibg Publishing), ‘Inner Paths To Outer Space’ (Park Street Press 2008), ‘Metamorphosis’ (BeinArt Publishing 2007), ‘True Visions’ (Betty Books 2006), ‘Drinking Lightning’ (Fine Arts Press 2001), ‘Illuminatus’, (Fine Arts Press1999), ‘One Source, Sacred Journeys’ (Markowitz Publishers 1997), ‘The Return Of The Great Goddess’ (Shambhala Publishing 2001, ‘Noospheres’ (Pomegranate 1991), and in magazines and publications such as such as ‘Juxtapoz’, ‘Inscape’, Magical Blend, Shaman’s Drum and Nexus, etc.

“The visionary artist makes visible the more subtle and intuitive states of our existence and creates maps and symbols reflecting consciousness. My work is an attempt to show spirit as the one universal force beyond the confines of cultural and religious differences. By embracing our oneness as a global human family and the concepts of our universal interconnectedness as well as the interdependency of all life, we have a chance to heal and transform the planet’s general state of woundedness. In using art as a tool for transformation, we have the opportunity to create a reality as beautiful, healthy and strong as our imagination permits.”

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Through my work I aim to help break apart the ‘illusion of separation’, to challenge the viewer to question, and evolve out of ignorance, conditioning and ingrained genetic habits. In life I strive to take responsibility for the effect of my existence, and through my actions and images, inspire others to think/dream beyond their immediate capacity. Ultimately I seek to create portals that open to the infinite possibilities of being and expressing, so that we may remember and re-discover who we are, where we originate from and where we are headed. My aspiration is to paint messages, visions and narratives that communicate with an ‘older & wiser s’, awakening ancient memory; as well as the ‘present us’, that we may grow up and accept the responsibilities towards ourselves, each other and the rest of existence on this planet… nowJ

Pablo Amaringo, the seventh of thirteen children, was born in 1943 in Puerto Libertad, a small settlement near the town of Tamanco in Peru. Many of Pablo’s ancestors were healers and shamans.

At 15, he worked on the docks in Pucallpa. After falling critically ill, and with his family in extreme poverty, he began to draw. He found that he could forge bank notes, painting with chinese ink.

Arrested for counterfeiting, he escaped from jail and fled to Brazil, where he worked for almost two years. He returned to the Peruvian jungle, where he was cured of his heart trouble by a ayahuasquero shaman.

Arrested again for his past crime, he spent several months in jail. He was released in 1969. Soon after, Pablo was taught the mysteries of healing by a forest woman who appeared to him in dreams. He practised vegetalismo from 1970 to 1976, travelling throughout the Peruvian Amazon.

Plunging deeper and deeper into the power of Ayahuasca, or yajé, an herbal concoction widely used in a shamanic context among the Indian and mestizo population of the upper Amazon, he became tortured by the spirit world. After fighting, and being injured by sorcerers and spirits, he decided to abandon shamanic practices and forsake Ayahuasca.

He began to paint and for a time made a small income making portraits. In 1985 – Luna and McKenna met Pablo. Luna suggested he paint some of his visions, a project which became the basis of a co-authored book Ayahuasca Visions – The Religious Iconography of a Peruvian Shaman by Luis Eduardo Luna – North Atlantic Books, Berkeley, CA,

In 1988, Pablo founded the Usko-Ayar school :

“The school’s purpose is well defined: it is a tool for the conservation of the Amazonian environment and culture. By observing and depicting nature, people – especially young children – become more aware of its beauty and richness, and they learn to respect it. In addition, the students hope that their paintings will inspire other people to share similar attitudes of appreciation and reverence.”

In 1992, Pablo was presented the prestigious Global 500 Peace Prize from the United Nations Environmental program, joining Jacques Cousteau, Chico Mendez, and Jimmy Carter, among many others.

After a lengthy battle with illness, Amaringo died on the 16th of November, 2009.

I was born in the northern Japan in 1970. The culture of Aomori prefecture where I raised is different from the typical well known Japanese culture from Kyoto. The most popular summer festivals, Nebuta and Neputa represent primitiveness in such vivid colors and dynamic movements.

In high school, I was inspired by a book of paintings by HR Giger and the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. In art university I studied classical techniques and tried to use an airbrush and oil paints in exploring my own style; Sur-naturalism which is based on the primary colors and abstract archetypes..

My faith has been shaped by exploring the internal realms of creation; not relying on outer influences or the past. It might share the motivation of the artists who tried to develop abstract art in the early 20th century. The work to continue gazing at the darkness has been extremely difficult. In the mean time, I feel uncomfortable about the landscapes standardized by modernization. The beauty of tradition in?the artificial has been becoming too inferior due to commercialism and industrialism. This is the reason why I keep my images independent of outer environment as a conservative reformism.

Ultimately 2 dimensional art should help create blue-print for 3dimesional objects which could be realized in the future. Art is laid between the natural and the artificial. It is unavoidable that art carries a role in directing the shape of manmade things and nature. My ambition is not to be in galleries or museums but to be in the fundamental places where we live, like our houses and offices, or the shrines and the festivals.

. I am curious about the artworks of the past, like ancient Japanese earthenware. It suggests to me that immortal archetypes in chaos could show us a mythology far beyond our words. I believe that primitive art works already achieved higher states than any other modern art. I think that the designs by ancient people were implicated to karma with the shapes of duality which meant woman and man, killer and victim. Those are reflected in my paintings subconsciously as well.

I chose red to recreate the experience of initiation into a place where all living things are activating our souls. Red also means anger and mercy, or destruction and creation. In this area we can’t distinguish the boundary between the inside and the outside. I have imagined that Japanese red shrines intimate our red blood which contrasts against the green forest. I thought red and green means a reversible relationship between internal nature and external nature.

Sur-nature and Super-nature are not the same. Sur-naturalism is a method of possibility to deal with primary phenomena within nature including the self of humankind. The sense for the archetypes is a key to open the secrets. As opposed to the supernatural, it can be perceived and understood in its entirety.
