In general the Slavonic native religions have a lot in common with the rest of the Indo-European spiritual traditions and have a direct connection to Vedanta. A Russian word Veda (t’) means “to know” or just a “knowledge”, “awareness”, came from Sanskrit.

Lila has charted the contemporary visionary and sacred art movement by talking directly to those involved. Explore the themes, motifs, inspirations and approaches to creativity found in visionary art.

Visionary Arts: What Vision? by Gaia Orion

The artist’s life may seem to be unfolding like an archetypal legend where dreams and events are interwoven in a perfect dance. The core of these visions is an ordered and centered life with intentions of understanding and integrity. The visionary art that comes from this base is what we also call “contemporary sacred art”.

Art Unifies : Interdimensional Art Show Seattle

Jun 2, 2009 Delvin Solkinson in Articles No Comments Tags: interdimensional art show

Communicating across language groups and ethnicities, accessing people of all ages, educational backgrounds and cultural upbringing, the Spirit of the new Art is one reflecting the highest hopes and dreams of humanity along with the relevant issues and challenges that we might overcome. A shimmering reflection of the visionary aspects of modern art culture may be found in the Interdimensional Art Show. With original art from Asia, Oceania, Europe, South America and North America this traveling gallery tour emphasizes the unifying threads that connect people and places all across the planet.

In perfect form with the archetypal west coast culture, besides the inspired gallery curation, this event featured an incredible lineup of musicians, designers, models and performers who spun an intricate web of wonder across the Columbia City Theatre that night. Everyone came together in the high vibe of dancing and wide eyed art appreciation, getting dipped in a beautiful event produced by Herbanmama of Tribe 13 with the help of Michael of Starborne Productions.

Creating a micro-gallery and arts market I worked with Nemo of r6xx.com to forge an art altar imagined as a testament to the visionary aspects of the flow. Affirming the brother-sisterhood of those dedicated to bringing life into the world, this experience reminded me how sacred our offerings can be when we combine forces to create beauty and magic.

Taking place under the good graces of a clear starry night this event reflected light on many levels to a receptive city with a refined eye for arts and culture. The tour culminates in a month long viewing at the fabled Fenario gallery in Eugene oregon during the month of June.
