Daniel Mirante

Practicing artist and writer and initiator of Lila.info

Daniel Mirante has been wandering the wilderness of the mundus imaginalis for 30 years.

He is fascinated with the exploration of shamanic tradition, deep ecology, ancient mythology, and the creative process.

Daniel has always drawn and written stories. His formal education included university training in interactive arts (including website development and virtual reality), and later a diploma in sustainable community development.

In 2000ad Daniel began developing a creative collective and its online expression www.lila.info, the visionary art and medicine culture website, to represent the emerging paradigm shift, that Delvin Solkinson of the Elfintome Arts Collective has described as ‘medicine culture’.

In 2004 Daniel began to paint and recieved help in the mische (mixed) technique of oil glazes and egg tempera with Brigid Marlin.

Later that year was invited by Delvin of the west coast visionary art scene to become a collaborating member of the Elfintome arts collective, where his work has been published in oracle card decks and visionary art calendars.

In July 2006 exhibited works at the inaugural “Visionary Art Alliance” exhibition at the Synergy Centre in London.

As a european node of Elfintome, Daniel Mirante initiated a collaborative studio space, Nectarian, in Brighton, UK, to support the unfolding of talent in established and emerging visionary artists

In early 2008 Daniel began exhibiting work at the ‘Mama Oshun’ art, permaculture and healing space in Brighton, UK.

Daniel is currently gaining much guidance and inspiration from rainforest traditions, gnostic roots, the perennial narrative running through all world wisdom traditions.

“Low Impact Buildings and Communities” - Two articles published in Green Building magazine.

“Realms” - In 2007 Daniel Mirante was featured alongside other contemporary noetic painters in Laurence Caruana’s Visionary Revue.

“Her One Song” - Images and a written piece of work for ‘Feminine Mysticism in Art:Artists Envisioning the Divine’ edited by Victoria Christian and Susan Stedman

“Religioes Ayahuasqueras : Um Balanca Bibliographica” - Paintings published in Brazilian book on syncretic spiritual movements.

Ayahuasca.com - Daniel Mirante recently took on editorial direction of the top resource on the Amazonian Great Medicine.
